Dance Connects

In short - A UX audit to identift improvement points for the website of a non-profit dance organisation. This project was done as part of the 'De Nieuwe Gevers', a skill-based volunteer organisation.

Summary

Situation and challenge

Dance Connects received feedback that their website was not user-friendly, especially for their elderly target audience. The flow was clunky, the layout was static and didn't reflect the vibrant photos, and it lacked videos and stories from the audience. The text, while adequate, was dull and failed to engage users effectively.

Action

To address these issues, I conducted a UX audit, focusing on interaction, content, and features. Given time and resource limits, I prioritized quick wins while considering larger changes. After the audit, I proposed examples for improving the website with minimal adjustments.

Deliver

In a short timeframe, I produced a report detailing the methodology, approach, target group needs, UX audit findings, and proposed designs. Dance Connects has begun implementing these changes and is seeking a developer to provide further support in executing the necessary updates.
